Makenna had her first golf tournament this year. She started off strong and very happy. Unfortunately that is not how it ended but I am still very proud of her. She had to play with 2 ten year old boys because they all tee off at the red tee's. One boy was very good (he shot a 42), the other boy was new to tournaments and played very slooooooooooooow. Which made for a long 9 holes---it took over 3 hours. Makenna is really improving in her golf game and wants to practice and go to lessons----that is a very good thing :) She has been taking lessons at Riverwood with Miss Lauren, she is an intern from Florida State. This is Makenna's first female instructor and it has really helped her to get insight and advice from a college golf girl! Makenna also went to golf camp last week at NC State and really enjoyed it. I am thankful Makenna has found something she enjoys and it helps to have a Daddy who loves his daughter and the game of golf :)
