Last year the angels thought we were going to great wolf lodge for Makenna's 13th birthday but instead we took them on a surprise trip to Disney. Well ever since then they have bugged me to go to Great Wolf Lodge. Tyler was upset the entire way to Disney because we weren't going to the water park. The problem is my husband does not like water (it is amazing he takes a shower everyday ;). So I asked Tricia (my best friend) if she wanted to take her children (my children's best friends) on an overnight trip to great wolf lodge? She said sure, so off we went to Concord, NC for an overnight adventure with our children. We spent one night but got two days at the water park. Even more reason for excitement from the children---they got to miss school on Friday. Woot-woot! Of course, they had a blast! They had a ton of different slides, wave pool, tree house, pool with basketball hoops, these lily pads that you jump across while holding onto a rope above your head. So much to do. And to do all that with your best friend......they loved it! The water park closed at 9:00pm so they got to ride the slides in the dark, which was fun but a little freaky (yes, I did try it). The ice cream shop was open until 10:00, funny how that worked out. So after a quick change into pj's we headed down to get ice cream. Could their day get any better?!
